Position Overview / Job Description
As the GCCS-J Test Engineer, you will be a member of the Test & Integration team, working directly with the customer test managers, engineers and software developers in performing system level test activities. Will execute detailed test procedures designed to validate application functional requirements, measure performance objectives as well as write test summaries, reports and test problem reports. Should also be knowledgeable of and experienced with web-based application software design and development environments, developing test plans and procedures, performing software functionality, performance, security and usability tests. Work with system engineers to understand system and performance requirements for new applications as they are assigned. Will be required to assist with building, configuring, testing and operating GCCS-J platforms primarily on Solaris, Windows 2000/2003 and XP platforms.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
At least 4 years experience in software testing to include writing test plans, summaries and reports. Must have extensive experience in Windows operating systems and a working knowledge on UNIX and the Solaris OS. Candidates must also have a final SECRET clearance.
Preferred Skills, Education and Experience
Knowledge and test experience of the GCCS-J releases and experience working on Joint DoD programs. Experience in Windows XP is desirable.
