Position Overview / Job Description

Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.  Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.  Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Provide System Administration support for a customer's Local Area Network. Accept trouble calls from users and create and manage tickets in the Remedy system.
Provide system administration and maintenance on several environments and networks, to include labs, workstation images, workstations, internal systems and VTC. Perform the Customer Checklist for all servers and special-use workstations on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and as required basis. The environment shall be maintained in accordance with all applicable customer standards as well as the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), the IAVM process, and other policies and procedures. Attend meetings, conferences and training on system and network issues and technology as requested or directed by the customer. Maintain existing and implement new System Test Facility Lab Testbeds.  The purpose of the testbeds is to support customer's security enhancements. Support aspects of video teleconferencing and web collaboration for the customer and act as the backup VTC operator.  This will include receiving requests for meetings, scheduling VTCs through the Video Operations Center, connecting and disconnecting the VTC and/or collaboration sessions.  It will also include either updating the Operating Systems and patches on the devices, or coordinating with the vendor to accomplish these updates. Ensure that the audio and video equipment is kept operational and STIG compliant. The incumbent will also support the customer's IA activities as requested.

Required Skills, Education & Expertise

A Bachelors Degree with 5 years of specialized experience, or  10 years specialized experience and certification .
Must be U.S. Citizen and have Active Security Clearance. This position does not provide any relocation assistance.
